14k Gold back loop hoops with Epimedium hexagons
All items are handmade and are one of a kind from foraged wild and domesticated plants. I collect whatever is in season on my daily walks, usually in the Philadelphia area. The composition of my pieces range from traditional (using whole, pressed flowers and leaves) to more abstract. Each piece involves laying jewelry-grade resin in several layers, over several sittings.
All handmade jewelry will have natural imperfections, and that’s what gives each piece their alluring details, originality and soulful nature. Variations and "imperfections" are not unwelcome.
45 mm long 14k gold plated post hoops. Look at the second photo for look when worn: the hoop extends past the post up the ear lobe, and then swoops back behind the lobe for an unique look. Finished with 25mm wide gold plated transparant hexagons filled with epimedium flowers, which more than one person thinks look like little birds in flight.
These danglies are not attached to the hoop and swing freely: they are totally stable when the earring is worn, and can be removed if you just want to wear the hoops some days.
Hard to photograph, but really fun to wear. The entire earring, with danglies, are 70 mm long and 25mm wide.
