New Formula! Beeswax body balm
I came upon the first iteration of this recipe for for a heavily moisturizing balm about 15 years ago, when I was going through a phase were I was making all of my own body products. I was looking for something completely natural, free of chemicals, alcohol, and preservatives and did a better job protecting and restoring my skin than commercial products - even the fancy, super expensive luxury stuff.
Since then I have reformulated the original recipe (meadowfoam oil became too much to source) and I’m actually happier with this one by far! Top quality raw African shea butter is mixed with cold pressed extra virgin olive oil, unrefined yellow beeswax, and then flash mixed once melted with witchhazel, organic cold pressed castor oil, and rose geranium essential oil.
This goes on like pure silk - completely non-greasy, highly absorbent, and super moisturizing. You can literally feel your skin plump up after using just a small amount.
This is a January batch made under a full moon. 4 oz glass jars that will last about a year (it's stabilized in beeswax, but it also has no preservatives.) Price reflects the quality of the ingredients.
