Sterling silver maple samara necklace

All items are handmade and are one of a kind from foraged wild and domesticated plants. I collect whatever is in season on my daily walks, usually in the Philadelphia area. The composition of my pieces range from traditional (using whole, pressed flowers and leaves) to more abstract.
This is the first of a new series I am working on; still centered on and using hand foraged botanical materials. This was made by layering sterling silver art clay repeatedly directly on a boxelder maple samara foraged by the Eiffel Tower, in Paris, France, in July of 2019, and then firing it and polishing it. Solid silver pendant, 35 mm wide (photo shown worn) with 18 in silver plated chain and lobster clasp. Can be work reversible: precise detailing of maple seed is on one side, brushwork on the other side. Unique; one of a kind, not made from a mold.
