The composition of my pieces range from traditional (using whole, pressed flowers and leaves) to more abstract. This is a handmade piece, and imperfections are expected and not unwelcome.
100% bamboo rayon 7 by 58 inch scarf cyanotype with passionflower vine from my garden. Bamboo rayon is a heavier fabric, and thus the cyanotype is much more saturated with deeper blues and hues than my silk pieces.
One of kind; color is set and will not bleed. The print, though, is only on one side. Customers also use this heavier scarf as table runners.
Hand wash with biodegradable soap, lay flat to dry to avoid wrinkles; iron lightly for peak look. Bleaches and soaps with phosphates WILL degrade the cyanotype.
